Since 1973, Fenwick Hardware has been proud to serve our coastal community with hometown service, knowledgeable advice, and a commitment to doing things the right way.
Our story began with Timothy J. Munro, who started a small handyman business serving local homeowners and recreational vehicle communities. As his business grew, so did his vision, eventually leading to the creation of Fenwick Hardware. Through years of hard work and several expansions, the store grew into the 30,000-square-foot destination customers know today.
The Munro family’s journey faced heartbreaking challenges with the passing of Timothy J. Munro in 2017, followed by his son, Timothy A. Munro, in 2018. Despite these devastating losses, the store remained open thanks to the dedication of its longtime employees and the support of the community. Their commitment helped preserve the legacy that the Munro family had worked so hard to build.
That legacy lives on through Sebastian Munro, Timothy A. Munro’s son and Timothy J. Munro’s grandson, who grew up in the store and dreamed of one day continuing the family tradition. From spending time at the register as a young child to learning the ins and outs of the business, Fenwick Hardware has always been a meaningful part of his life. His connection to the store and the community represents the family history and dedication that continue to shape our story.
Today, Fenwick Hardware remains more than just a place to find tools and supplies. We're a community staple, known for our knowledgeable team, personal service, and ability to help customers find just what they need. The values established by the Munro family continue to guide us: treating every customer like a neighbor, offering honest advice, and going the extra mile.
After more than 50 years, we're proud to honor our history while continuing to serve the community that has stood beside us through every chapter of our story.
